The Alisal Guest Ranch And Resort

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I wanted to reminisce on one of my favorite romantic getaways, the Sip, Saddle, Spa Package at The Alisal Guest Ranch And Resort.

Last September, Michael and I had the chance to go on a little weekend getaway. After landing in California, we drove up the coast to the incredible Alisal Guest Ranch And Resort.

After a long, beautiful drive, we checked into our studio. The Pendleton bedspread, private porch, and wood-burning fireplace made this studio my dream home away from home. After unpacking, we dressed up and walked over to the Ranch Room for a delicious dinner followed by fireside cocktails in the Oak Room.

On our second day at The Alisal Guest Ranch And Resort, we really experienced all the SPA and SIP that the Sip, Saddle, Spa Package had to offer.

After brunch, we walked over to the spa for our Trail Blazer Spa Treatments. Ninety minutes later, we emerged feeling beyond relaxed. The spa treatment was the perfect mix of aromatherapy and muscle relaxing pressure.

After our spa treatments, Michael and I found ourselves soaking up the sun by the pool. We enjoyed a picnic style lunch, and then we headed back to our studio to get ready for a night of wine tasting. Our second day at The Alisal Guest Ranch And Resort ended with another incredible dinner, and a few glasses of wine… Okay more than a few, but that is what you get when you are in one of the best wine-producing regions in the country.

The next morning, Michael and I woke up early and headed to the stables. I was so excited for the SADDLE portion of the Sip, Saddle, Spa Package. I have been riding horses since I was little so I was in absolute heaven. We rode for over an hour through the hills to an outdoor breakfast. Coffee, pancakes, omelets, it was all waiting for us when we arrived. We ate under the giant sycamores by the crackling campfire. The Breakfast Ride was one of my favorite parts of this incredible trip.

After the breakfast ride, we packed our bags and headed back down the coast. Our weekend at The Alisal Guest Ranch And Resort was beyond beautiful. We will be back very soon!
